Amazing Vintage 1969 varsity letterman style jacket. Has Original Patch for the United States Air Force Alaska Air Command - intra-command 1969 Softball Championship Runner up. Jacket is sz.42 and has Ira L. Kruger and Elmendorf A.F.B. written on inner liner tag.
Ira L. Kruger was a 20-year U.S. Air Force veteran who served at Elmendorf AFB in Alaska, played fast-pitch softball as a catcher, and later coached Armed Services teams (1970–1974). He was also a basketball referee in Alaska.
The jacket shows honest vintage wear (some creasing and light soiling on the wool, typical patina on the leather sleeves, and minor wear overall), but it is solid, complete, and displays very well.
This Jacket would make a Great Gift for any enthusiast or the Perfect Addition to any Collection. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS BEFORE PURCHASING.
